Young Building / Pell Center
This three-story brick and wood frame structure is as well known for its history as its design. Wrought iron gates and a mosaic-tiled floor at the front entrance lead to the Great Hall with its beautiful carved staircase. The dining room, paneled in dark carved wood under an ornamental ceiling, was used to seat up to 100 guests. Benjamin Harrison's Vice President, Levi P. Morton, bought the property in the late 1860s and commissioned Richard Morris Hunt, designer of Ochre Court, to build a ballroom on the south side. The room, with its mirrored panels and frescoes above the double doorway, was added in 1870 expressly for the visit of Ulysses S. Grant shortly after he became President.

Set at the edge of campus on the famed Bellevue Avenue, The Young Building is perfect for a  Conference, Dinner or Reception.
You can book the entire building which includes residential rooms, a boardroom as well as two elegant rooms that can be used lecture-style or for a gala dinner.

Wakehurst

Wakehurst was the home of international sportsman, political figure and anglophile James J. Van Alen. The mansion, conceptualized in 1882, was built between 1884 and 1887. It was designed to replicate Wakehurst Place, an Elizabethan manor house built in Sussex, England in 1570, that still stands today.
Wakehurst is used as the Salve Regina Student Center and features a covered terrace and a sunken garden.

Casino Theatre
The Stanford White designed Casino Theatre stands today as one of the finest examples of Victorian Shingle Style architecture in the world.
Oscar Wilde and Orson Welles performed here; now the theatre is used for Private functions, cocktail receptions and NewportFilm.
“We look upon Newport as a living laboratory,” said Sister M. Therese Antone, Salve Regina’s Chancellor. “Using the renovated theater for educational purposes makes a lot of sense.”
