Tamara and I want to thank you for providing such wonderful coffee breaks/meals for our SHCY conference. Everyone raved about the food! The staff that worked at the reception and lunch were friendly and helpful – the rooftop garden was a real hit! Tamara ensured that leftover food was packaged up and distributed to organizations in the Downtown Eastside.

It was a pleasure to work with you – your professionalism, assistance, and good humour were very much appreciated and we are proud to let you know that the conference was a resounding success!

  • Faculty of Education | Teacher Education Office

This year when we had a record number of registered exhibitors for the annual UBC Education Career fair, the AMS hosted our event without a hitch. During the months leading up to the event, Lyanne was great to work with and offered suggestions to room arrangement and flow for the exhibition in the new space from the SUB to the NEST's Great Hall. It was this open communication throughout the process that let me put my worries to rest. The morning of the event, the space was fully prepped and ready to go. The staff were on hand throughout the day to adjust to special requests. The catering was healthy and delicious. The catering staff were readily available and flexible with their ability to add in additional drinks as needed in the day. What was key, besides an excellent space, was the professionalism of all the individuals whom interacted with me and our guests during that day. For the exhibitors, I heard that it was the best event of its kind that they'd ever been too. From others, I heard praise that the space was perfect. Well done everyone! I look forward to our coming year and holding our event with them again this coming year. Thank you all for supporting us in our career fair. I highly recommend AMS Conferences + Catering.

  • The Presbyterian Church in Canada

I wish to express to you the gratitude of the 141st General Assembly of The Presbyterian Church in Canada and my personal thanks and appreciations for the work you did for us with the food service arrangements at the Nest of the Student Union Building and welcoming us to the University of British Columbia.

The preparations for this year was one of great anticipation leading right up to the day we got into the Great Hall and surrounding rooms. Walking into the building on the days before the Assembly was the confirmation that we did not need plan B. The commisioners and other participants enjoyed meeting in the Great Hall. They also appreciated the care offered by staff who ensured refreshments were ready and plentiful. The General Assembly staff was grateful for the flavourful and excellently prepared meals that appeared daily. They provided good nourishment and a break from long days in the office.

Again, my thanks and appreciation to you and Lyanne for all you did for this General Assembly.

  • International Professional Services Firm

Working with Andrea and her team at the Nest was fantastic. Their team did a stellar job in setting up rooms, including AV equipment and catering. As a result, we were able to host a rather large group at a single location without issue, including a full day of working sessions, outdoor activities and a team dinner. The atmosphere and service was amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend the Nest to others.
